It is time to start thinking about when to begin seeding the field. Shocked
After this week, things should begin to shape up. I was at the field yesterday (Wed.) and is was a little soft, but not too bad. I have 2 weekends in April when I will not be available. A couple of other things to think about. 1. A bulletin board is a must. I will take this task on and try to get started on it. 2. The "Transmitter impound" rack on the end of the work bench never gets used as such. Maybe we could enclose it and use it to store a First aid kit, garbage bags, Buddy boxes and cables etc. (of course we would need to lock it) Any thoughts on this? 3. The Frequency board needs anchored better. Maybe we can put it back to back with a bulletin board and have them mounted to a couple of 4x4 posts which could also be used to lash a windsock pole to. 4. Is there any plans to use the old canopy lumber that is down by the shed? If not, we could really use a couple of more Plane stands like the one we have that Joe built. Since I started using it, I really like it better than kneeling on the ground to start my plane. I think it's safer too. Sorry this got kind of long. Please respond to this post with your comments.

Don and I picked up 100 lbs. of seed today - it is stored next to the lawn mower at Waltemeyers Very Happy

Jim W. said he will plant the seed with his plug seeder at NO cost to the Club. He will also "bush hog" the area near the church parking lot for us so we can stake out the runway.

By the way, the seed cost $ 129.00, so we actually saved a couple of bucks with this Surprised

I have a windsock on its way!

Yes, we will need a Bulletin Board - thanks for getting on this item.

I will be gone from April 15 thru the 23rd - other than this, I should be available!

Fred

I guess I spoke too soon about being ready to seed. Hopefully the snow won't last for long. Shocked
Glad we got the seed. That way we can be ready when the weather breaks.
I won't be available the weekend of April 14th- 15th and the 28th- 29th.
